What follows is what evenlist.net records when you read a page, and what happens once you leave for Amazon.

Cookies

The site itself sets no tracking cookie. WordPress may set a cookie if you leave a comment or log in as a member of staff. Third parties named below can set their own cookies once you interact with them.

Measurement

We may use an analytics service to count visits and see which pages are read. It tells us how many people arrived and from where; it does not tell us who you are.

Leaving for Amazon

Once you click through to Amazon you are on Amazon’s site under Amazon’s terms. The tag in the link tells them the visit came from here. They send us totals, never details of who bought what.

What is recorded

Nothing is collected from you deliberately. The web server writes an access log as every web server does: which page, when, from what browser, arriving from where, with the address shortened. Email you send is retained with your address so a reply can be sent.

Your rights

Blocking cookies costs you nothing here — the pages work without them. If you are covered by the GDPR in the EU or UK, or by California privacy law, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. [email protected] is the address for that.

Younger readers

Nothing here is directed at children, and we do not knowingly gather data about anyone under the age at which consent is required where they live.
